Support for updating the National Climate Change Action Plan

In this context, Climate Lead Group (CLG) has been supporting the development of updated, sectoral adaptation pathways for human health and road infrastructure through advanced scenario modeling and risk analysis to 2050. The project applies methodologies such as Robust Decision Making (RDM) and Blue Spot Analysis, using geospatial data to identify key climate risks, their geographic distribution, and sectoral vulnerabilities. This analytical work will inform the definition of clear adaptation strategies, targets, indicators, and implementation routes, integrating inputs from other priority sectors. The project has been implemented through a broad, participatory, and interinstitutional process, including workshops and bilateral consultations with public sector stakeholders. Its results will be consolidated into an updated technical document for the PANCC, providing a robust and practical foundation for public planning and climate policy implementation. Through this work, CLG contributes to strengthening Guatemala’s adaptation planning by delivering viable, sector-aligned, and development-oriented action plans for human health and road infrastructure.
