Our services

Decisions grounded in evidence

We turn energy, climate and economic data into scenarios, costs and roadmaps that a board of directors or a ministry can use to decide. We work with open models, verifiable data and geospatial analysis.

CLG services

Energy & Emissions Modelling

We project how energy demand, costs and emissions evolve under different futures of prices, technology and regulation. We work with OSeMOSYS, TIMES, LEAP and the CLEW approach calibrated with national data, and deliver the model documented, auditable and editable — whether the result underpins an investment decision or an official report.

Economics of Decarbonisation

We put a price on each measure: how much it costs, how much it saves and how long it takes to pay back. We produce marginal abatement cost curves, cost-benefit analysis, fiscal impact of the transition and employment estimates, with documented methodology that holds up equally to peer review and an investment committee.

Adaptation, Climate Risk & Geospatial Analysis

We identify which assets, territories and supply chain links are exposed to flooding, drought, heat or landslides, and which measures reduce that exposure at the lowest cost. We apply Robust Decision Making (RDM), XLRM matrices, Blue Spot analysis on digital elevation models and vulnerability indices.

Climate Strategies & Public Policy

We lead complete NDC processes, long-term strategies and sectoral plans: methodological design, modelling, multi-stakeholder consultation, drafting of the official document and monitoring framework. Having drafted several of the instruments currently in force in the region allows us to anticipate what climate policy will demand from each sector.

Corporate Decarbonisation & Resilience

We build corporate climate roadmaps: emissions baseline, business climate risks, a portfolio of measures prioritised by cost and impact, and a realistic investment timeline. The methodology is proprietary, validated with international cooperation and piloted in real companies — from corporations to SMEs.

Climate Finance & Investment

We translate a roadmap into an investment case: how much capital it requires, which green funds and credit lines apply, and what needs to be demonstrated to qualify. We manage funds, design and evaluate calls, build indicator dashboards with finance ministries and assess Article 6 readiness.

CLG Methodology

RADAR

A structured framework for designing corporate sustainability plans and strategies that respond to future uncertainty. RADAR integrates scenario modelling, physical and transition risk analysis, ESG certifications and regulatory compliance into a single process.

Reporting, Certification & Compliance Support

Disclosure frameworks demand exactly what we already produce: climate scenario analysis, physical asset risk, transition risk and a plan with verifiable targets. We prepare that technical foundation so a company's finance team and auditor can report without improvising.

IFRS S1 & S2

The ISSB sustainability disclosure standards, adopted in Costa Rica since January 2024. We cover the analytical component: climate scenario analysis and resilience assessment, identification of physical and transition risks, transition plan, and definition of metrics and targets.

Voluntary today. Mandatory for large taxpayers and entities supervised by CONASSIF, with first report in 2028 on the 2027 fiscal year-end.

Inventories & Verification

Emissions baseline under the GHG Protocol in scopes 1, 2 and 3, with traceability of sources and assumptions. We prepare the technical file so the company arrives at external verification with complete documentation.

We do not issue the verification. We prepare the company to pass it.

National Programmes & Value Chain Requirements

Support in national climate recognition schemes, including the Country Programme for Climate Leadership, and in the information requirements that corporate clients or banks are starting to pass downstream.

Also applies to suppliers and SMEs that are not required to report but are being asked for data.
