Robust Decision Making (RDM): From Theory to Practice. Practical Guidance for Its Implementation in Long-Term Climate Strategies
Project description
Given these challenges, Climate Lead Group (CLG) and the 2050 Pathways Platform developed an RDM Guide, drawing on lessons from LAC countries from the academic, sector, stakeholder insights, policy development, and financing strategies to support governments, donors, and consultants who have used this methodology in designing their LTS. The guide presents a detailed and practical 10-step process to deploy RDM in countries or regions, covering everything from initial planning to final reporting. Its aim is not only to navigate the complex terrain of climate change mitigation but also to foster a collaborative, inclusive, and forward-looking approach to crafting strategies that can withstand future uncertainties. This framework helps stakeholders at all levels co-create LTS that stay robust and effective under a variety of uncertain conditions and scenarios.
